We for a long weekend to see the fall foliage. Got to the hotel and the service was great right from the start. Room was great, clean, spacious and the view of the lake was great. The food at the hotel restaurant was very good also.
This is the nicest large hotel option in Canandaigua with a really great location right on the lake. As a result, it can get a bit over-priced at times. The rooms are very clean and spacious. I only had one meal, breakfast, and it was just ok.
My husband and I recently enjoyed our second weekend stay. Beautiful location, nice heated outdoor pool, great staff including Jeff at the front desk, Lisa’s tireless and very friendly service in The Cove Restaurant and also Raymond there and at the bar. Jeff excelled with our room choices, Lisa recommended really good choices from the somewhat limited but inspired menu. We really enjoyed the perfectly cooked to order steak, coconut shrimps, beer battered fish and daily specials. Property is well recommended and we look forward to returning again soon. Beautiful location for our conference. Staff were friendly, bathrooms were clean and seemed large enough to accommodate our group. Breakfast and lunch services were yummy and fresh- better quality than expected for a large catering event. The semi-covered and outdoor patio areas overlook a gorgeous view of the lake. Can't speak for the rooms as I did not stay overnight, but as an attendee, would highly recommend business and/or large events here.
Dream Wedding Weekend at a Beautiful Hotel We had the absolute best wedding weekend at Hotel Canandaigua! From the rehearsal dinner to the wedding day to enjoying the pool with our wedding party the next day, everything was seamless. The bridal suite and groom’s suite were perfect for getting ready, and staying in the presidential suite the night of our wedding was such a special perk. The lakefront ceremony setting was stunning, and the ballroom was beautiful. Kristen is amazing—she made sure every detail we planned was executed perfectly. The staff were so kind and responsive, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food (thanks to Nolan’s catering!) and how there were never lines at the bars. So many people told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to—and we truly couldn’t agree more. Highly recommend this venue to any couple!
The staff at this hotel is what makes it great. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, with all the amenities close by. The outdoor restaurant and bar seating offers beautiful views of the lake. The one missing item I keep asking Hilton to provide at all their hotels is a real glass in the bathroom. The flimsy plastic cups don’t even begin to cut it, and there’s no glassware if you want to have a glass of wine or anything to drink in your room while you enjoy the view from your balcony.
My Wife and I were pleasantly surprised. Not that we didn't think it would be nice. Just better than we expected. We choose this Hot over the Lake House and were glad we did. Just like the Nolan's restaurant vs the Lake house. Nolan's was fabulous and half the price.
We went during a slower time of year and it was lovely, everything was well maintained but it wasn't too busy. Rooms were nice and quiet, that can be very hard to find! And being right on the lake is nice.
